Hooks, Hashes & Helvetica is an independent blog launched in March 2024 by Jessica Rush. As a mostly front-end (but often full-stack) web developer, I'm constantly learning new tricks, tools, libraries and frameworks. As a former Graphic Designer and Instructor, I have a wealth of knowledge to share on design theory and principles... concepts that I still find relevant in my day-to-day dev work.

Fuelled by the challenge of learning new things, this is a collection of notes (some half-baked) on design and development. Gathered over years of solving practical problems, expect to see anything from colour theory to SQL Queries. Thanks for visiting.
